  A sweeping, flashy, ironic and extremely satisfying mob epic and fable on the US's long and boring consumerist decline.

  "Goodfellas but in '70s Vegas" would be a completely fitting description for this film and as someone who loves both of them I do not mean that as an insult to either.

  Absolutely premium stuff from the entire cast, from De Niro down to the most unnoticed extra. Every time you watch it you will notice several cool things that just completely didn't occur to you last time.

  It's terrifying to imagine an alternate universe where Scorsese existed but did anything other than make this film.
