  Blood and Black Lace 1964

  Man those colors… the red pops out at you so much. Blood and Black Lace is a visual masterpiece, and I’m not only talking about the colors. The set design in general is perfect and the killer’s outfit is so simple but so good. 
  Wonderful story here as well, albeit a bit hard to follow in certain spots. Really interesting payoff though. 
  Giallo goodness. Will always recommend this one

  The Bird with the Crystal Plumage 1970

  ★★★★ Rewatched 26 Mar 2025

  A very basic giallo film wonderful for introducing someone to the subgenre. Killer dressed in black wearing a fedora, cool murder scenes and shots of knives, and a fairly easy plot to follow (but still with an out of left field twist at the end).

  Dracula 1931

  Just so goated... I love you Count Dracula
  Lame ending but perfect movie outside of that. I watched it in color this time and it’s just undeniably better and more gothic in black and white so I’ll be watching it that way from now on. But honestly the set design is so great that being in color didn’t detract from its creepiness at all. 
  Bela Lugosi as Dracula just scratches an itch. There’s great reason as to why it’s probably the most culturally iconic film performance ever.

  Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 2000

  A satire on the Blair Witch Project phenomenon in 1999. Its kinda fuckin amazing and I mean that. I’m surprised it hasn’t gotten the same amount of appreciation Halloween III has gotten over time but I understand that 00’s cheesy metal horror isn’t for everyone (I eat that shit up though). I already can’t wait to rewatch this
