  I had higher hopes for a film about a woman eating a bunch of dudes, but it's passable. Very campy, full of dialogue that makes you chuckle. The gore isn't too extreme, nothing intensely graphic, but what's visible is fairly realistic.

  • has that early 2010 / late 2000's charm
  • isn't too predictable

  An incredibly difficult watch, but so illuminating. The gore is minimal but realistic, and the connection you build with the survivors is very well done. This newer rendition of this real life tragedy is a lot more respectful than other media representations, and with that respectfulness the movie is hard to watch but also informative.

  Bones and All 2022

  Bones and All uses cannibalism as a metaphor for Otherness. No specific type of otherness is ever implied directly, because the film is simply about being an outcast, hereditarily, gentetically, uncontrollably. Something you can't change, and feel alone in, searching for community.
