  Twister from 96’ is a comfort movie for me, been watching it since I was a kid. And honestly Twisters surprisingly captures a lot of what makes the original great, as well as doing things a little different.

  Obviously there are big tornadoes, plenty of disaster scenes and action, but there’s a bit more science applied to this one. Which kinda slows down the pacing of the movie, but not quite enough to get bored.

  Demon City 2025

  I read that Demon City was based off of an old action manga, and that's pretty clear by how over the top it was. I see it compared to John Wick, and I get that, definitely a bit more on the campy side in comparison, and not nearly as well made.

  There were some obvious cuts in the fight scenes, and the blood looked very fake. Not to mention the story was predictable and not even halfway through ran out…

  Going into Violett I expected more of a horror film, what we ended up getting was more of psychological drama with some horror elements. Which isn't a bad thing, because it turned out to be pretty good.

  The story has all the beats of a typical psychological horror, I'd even say it's predictable, but it's the way it's told that makes it stand out amongst similar films.
