Night Moves 1975
Interesting editing style (cut by Dede Allen) where there are very few establishing shots or transitions. Instead, you’re dropped directly into the start of a scene. It’s jarring at first but you begin to anticipate and it kept me engaged.

Basic Instinct 1992
I can’t believe I had never seen this before!!
I think this might’ve shot up to one of my favorites of Verhoeven’s (there are several greats). I loved the tone and the quippy dialogue is near perfect. The cinematography of Jan De Bont is so crisp and moody.

Adrenochrome is real!
Reminds me of Frighteners (Jackson), The Addams Family (Sonnenfeld) and Casper (Silberling) the way this zany comedy looks, feels and sounds. Very fun to see Bruce Willis in a comedic role that isn’t McClain-esque.
