  Just knowing this is Guillermo del Toro's start only makes you appreciate what's he's created since then! What a fabulous story! The practical special effects are spectacular! I really enjoyed this not having idea what to expect!

  So much funnier than i thought it was gonna be....which wasn't necessarily good! Though I was laughing the whole time, it was more from shock than actual hilarity. But look, very unique take. Just don't expect scary!

  Started off slow. Wasn't sure if it was gonna be any good, but it all wrapped up quite nicely in the end! Every choice had a beautiful callback that was rewarded!

  A complete commentary on fame and what that does to you and those around you. Paul has many insecurites around himself and his capabilities as a writer, father, husband, and friend that he is completely blind to. He holds himself as a man who is so sure of himself, but below the service, he just wants to be appreciated, longed for and championed. But here's the thing. Paul isn't likable....he's not unlikable...he's just Paul.
  I think this film was a straight look at ourselves and society and how quick we are to jump on any band wagon.
