the animation in this movie is visually beautiful to me, always love to see a 2D animated film !! and it has lovely music so that alone gets stars from me! although i did find some things questionable.. admittedly i do not know much about the history it is referencing so i cannot be a good judge for how the story is being portrayed:( i will have to educate myself upon it before i can say much more about this movie or even give a more accurate rating..

this was such an absolutely beautiful melancholic film... it had the most intimate romance without even one sex scene, it simply didn't need one to portray it's passion. it was so sweet and so much better than i had originally expected and i truly didn't want it to end.. definitely one of my favorite romances and vampire movies now!

you know what, i was gonna give this 3.5 stars until i saw all of you BEING MEAN!!!! TO DOOGAL.!!!!!!! just for that, 5 stars. this is the best movie ever made actually. leave him ALONE! watched this with my lovely partner, we both experienced childlike wonder for an hour so that's all that matters.
