  Such an incredible movie. Cried several times yet I still felt inspired and uplifted by the ending. Grace is such a great character and I loved seeing her overcome all the awful things she had to go through. I also loved the themes/messages about continuing to move forward even in the face of tough circumstances and freeing oneself from the mental cages we often put ourselves in.

  I wish there were more animated movies geared towards adults (not trashy stuff…

  “The world will never be completely horrible as long as you’re in it” ;-; I can’t lie, I cried real tears when Petey said that shit. Dog Man may be copaganda, but it’s still heartwarming and just the right amount of zany.

  The dialogue in this movie is its biggest strength and its biggest weakness. So much of it is on-the-nose and kinda corny, yet there are some lines that really stuck with me. The line about needing someone versus choosing someone was really great. I also really loved the painkiller-induced monologue Christian Bale’s character delivers near the end, in which he’s consumed with love for the wonderful “tapestry of life.” That shit made me cry real tears. Pretty great performances and some excellent production design as well. I can see why people dislike this movie, but I walked away pretty satisfied.
