this movie is fucking banging i can’t even describe it in any other way nor do i want to. jim carrey is impeccable as always and manages to transmit his very justifiable paranoia onto the watchers. this movie feels unsettling right from the beginning, everything looks so right, so clean, so plastic and cartoonish even, which means the atmosphere is absolutely what it needs to be, not only to hook us in but really keep us there, wondering and to some extent having doubts and feeling uncomfortable just like truman

Usually I blame my distractions during a film on myself and my own inability of staying focused for too long, but not this time. This movie was a whole entire disappointment and a half. The plot wasn’t engaging whatsoever and convinced me that i could rewrite the whole movie on 2 hours of sleep and a line of coke and come up with something exponentially better than whatever the fuck was that blonde lady having perv cams in a white suburban neighborhood. The only thing I can praise this movie for is the animation and voiceovers, and the character design wasn’t even that good.

I’m gonna be honest with you... this movie was surprisingly good considering the expectations. The animation was pretty fluid and the special effects were solid. It’s just another animation meets real life movie and that's okay. What i liked particularly about this one though is that they didn’t try to explain sonic’s powers with some weird dumb science that might’ve lead to some plot holes or inconsistency, like most of these movies do. The plot was consistent and they didn’t…

Being a lover of mythology and all things like it, this film felt like a warm hug given by a long lost relative. It feels oddly familiar and nostalgic. The animation is the definition of simple beauty. It envolves you in the characters lives and it makes you long for their universe, where things flow and shine just like they did when you were a kid reading bedtime stories. Every second of this movie is pure bliss.
