It’s inoffensive, if a bit confusing as to whether this was supposed to be more adult audience-oriented or not. The biggest joy of this came from how much this feels like Final Fantasy 7, though.

Haven't watched anything from Baker prior sadly and from what I understand this is a bit of diversion from the usual route he takes, at least compared to Tangerine or Florida Project. Honestly I just don't know why this exists. Like there's an obvious answer, the first one was a cult success, but if you're doing a sequel then why not do something with it? Harley's here but barely adds anything to the main narrative, there's a bunch of musical scenes that feel like padding, most of the movie just feels like you're going back and forth between 3 locations.
