This is a fantastic movie. I found myself having a negative opinion of Oppenheimer by the end, which I don't think Nolan intended. If anything, I found Oppenheimer to be a narcissist who liked the fact he created the most destructive weapon and, therefore, enjoyed feeling guilty.
A genius movie, a highly underated noir gem. The movie starts out unsuspecting but then the killing of Haskell escalates the film exponentially. Al Roberts seems like an innocent character but by the end of the film I was questioning not only his narration of murder but also his narration of his lover in Hollywood did she really even love him? The only person to back this up is Al who we are already suspicious narrative given how he conveniently "accidently" committed murder. Is he actually a psychopath?
People say this film is lame but it is a certified social democratic classic.
