The Substance 2024
After I took some time to calm myself down from the taunting vibes this movie left behind, I come to the conclusion that this felt like a black mirror episode in every way possible. That’s why the pace and the style were so familiar. Nonetheless it was very disturbing. Not just because of the visuals but because of its emptiness. I like how Sue and Elisabeth are essentially two parts of the same coin, or better yet, the same ego. It was psychologically thrilling and terrifying.
