Trans people should have more representation in film, but it would be nice if the movie was actually good. Pretty color grading tho.

Nickel Boys 2024
This movie is so beautifully made. But, unfortunately, what is technically good does not always mean enjoyable to watch. I appreciated the commitment and risks taken with the extreme POV narrative, but like many video games of this nature, it left me a little disoriented and, at times, mildly nauseous. The last hour had some stunning sequences, and the archival footage and editing were affecting in a way the acted scenes sometimes weren't.
The story at the heart of this film is incredible. I want everyone to go read the book. But I ultimately was more distracted than immersed by the technique.
