  Watched this first at the 151 cinema in Liverpool in 1991. The funniest film I’ve ever seen - and it keeps giving every time. For everyone who’s ever fancied a savaloy in  the bath. Throw yourself in the road darling you don’t have a chance.

  A total feast for your eyes, everyone and everything is super sexy: the actors, the clothes, the houses, the offices, even the London pub they go to before the first dinner party. Marisa Abela steals the show, esp with her fine steak knife work. Well Marisa and the fabulous London kitchen of the Woodhouses. Give the shade of paint on their kitchen walls an Oscar now. I would like to go and see a film like this every Friday night please.

  Barry, FFS, you brought me to tears when I just did my make up so nice. What a film though. I truly didn’t expect to see a bunch of grown men sing Yellow to a toad because it has a preference for sincere songs and won’t slime until he gets one, but 2025 has been an unusual year and this film fits the bill. To add to my joy I saw this film at the Rigoletto in Stockholm which might be my favourite cinema in the world. Much love for Bird.
