Alien: Romulus 2024
Watched this movie with my friends despite my unfamiliarity with the franchise though luckily, it was a prequel. I felt that it was a welcoming introduction to the series (for someone like me) as the aliens felt threatening and their looming presence made it so that anyone life's were at stake.
I really loved the shots in space where it was mostly dead silent which added to the tension and ambience especially towards the end of the movie. It was overall a very enjoyable film and I can't really find any faults as a casual viewer

Drawing Closer 2024
This made me cry ughhhhhhhhhhh. It's a really good Japanese romance drama movie that did subvert my expectations of these types of movies. I'm hella upset 10/10. Man it made me emotional I don't want to think about it.
