Very pretty, as always with Wes Anderson. The story is really captivating and the story telling too. But I find it often upsetting how Wes Anderson's direction reflects some sorts of vision of exotism, how cultures are used as objects. It feels like some sort of curiosity which feels a bit off for me. But then I don't know really how to explain it.
Anyway, I had a good time, and I like the peculiar length too.
(I strongly recommend " Wes Anderson and the follies of modern orientalism" by Broey Deschannel on YouTube)
I Had a good time watching those 80s twinks. Good drama, great scenery, I was sort of worried about how the cemetery part would turn out but then it was mid. But doesn't matters, the rest makes up for it : tension, blood, tears, laughs. Really cool movie.
