jawdropping cinematography! the score, the way the camera captures the house, and the incredible performance from mammootty build such a tense and claustrophobic atmosphere. i really liked arjun ashokan's character he's very easy to sympathize with and his emotion and desperation to escape really kept me invested in the second half and further lent to the feelings of hopelessness that permeates the film. the theme of the cyclical nature of oppression is well developed and i think the ending serves it well. overall a really unique and beautiful movie, there's some amazing recent releases from the malayalam industry i need to watch more of!
