Listen…I’m just a girl, okay? I’m mortified I enjoyed it too, because, isn’t this the fanfic we all grew up reading on tumblr? Isn’t this precisely the genre we read 15 years later except now it’s dragons and high fae?
That being said- the 5 year time jump was an eye roll and there’s certainly no way I, as a 17 year old daughter, would not be mega crushing on my moms English pop star boyfriend.
Nick Cage as Dracula was the only convincing I needed to see this movie. Purposely kept myself mostly in the dark about this before watching, so my expectations were low, but this movie surely delivered and exceeded.
I usually hate gore and a surplus of blood and violence, but the theatric horror mixed with humor and over the top fight scenes desensitized me as the film went on, leaving me to actually enjoy all the movie magic.
Who knew Nick Cage as the Prince of Darkness could be such a perfect fit. Hilarious and fast passed. I never got bored or antsy watching this film.
