Pretty much fucking baffling. I think those in charge of concept, art direction, cinematography, etc. were cooking so hard, everyone forgot they were meant to be making a movie so they duct-taped their staggering visuals together with the loosest of plots. A movie that could have been significantly worse if it had any less of a creative vision behind it. The presentation is so consistently gorgeous you forget that nothing particularly special is actually happening. It is immediately apparent how stunning the shots are and the minimal atmospheric soundtrack is wonderfully immersive. No matter what happens, there is a somber beauty that never slips.
