The male antagonists all felt very Rob Zombie (derogatory), I was genuinely stunned that bill Mosley wasn’t in this, there isn’t really a threat behind them as much as a goofy accent and a “wait that’s the guy” kinda vibe to it. I am so mad about how this movie turned out.

As slashers in this format go, it’s boring, the victims are unsympathetic and the deaths were boring. I adore the original run, the Sawyers remain the best cannibal clan and the addition of the Slaughters is just kinda cheap. It doesn’t take it in a new direction like the Hewitts, it’s just a worse coat of paint on the original. Save yourselves the time, watch TCM2 instead.
