  nudity should be for everyone, like summer. when one is naked, it's basic: love, birth, dawn. the sun, the beach, all that. 

  to be seen and understood and listened to stripped of all pretenses and performance and layers of faux facade and appearance. soul laid nude for sunlight to warm, vulnerable as a kitten's belly exposed for gentle scratches. to be known, to be perceived, beyond the performative you and be cradled the gentle animal of you.

  julie is performing to share her biggest pain in the world, one that would have hurt too much if not submerged in the water, the element softening the strength of her movements and in turn bringing more strength from her.

  the release of her sorrows at the end as she slowly but surely is brought to the surface by the nature of the water's movement; and though her body remains below in the water, her inner self is allowed release through her breath, breaching the water into the open.
