Dune: Part Two 2024
I was fortunate enough to watch this epic at the BFI Imax in London, the biggest cinema screen in the UK. Not only that but the film was also projected on 70mm IMAX film, making this the greatest cinema experience of my life. The subtly grainy texture of the images, the miniscule imperfections through the frames was such a unique experience, as a massive film buff in all areas I fully appreciated it.
As for the actual film, I adored…

Robot Dreams 2023
My only issue with this is that its 10-15 minutes too long. Other than that this was a delight. So emotionally impactfull, gorgeously animated and made me realise that animated films about freindships/ bromances make me cry.
I don't think September by earth wind and fire will ever feel the same.

Novocaine 2025
The Chappel Roan needle drops have hit the movies. This would have gone crazy at a 15 year olds birthday party in 2014
This being funny with a crowd really saved it for me, has a dark sense of humour and its violence is entertaining.
But goddamn can we move on from this lonely white guy crashes out genre of action movies!

Black Bag 2025
A banger. Steven Soderberg is such a cool filmmaker because he makes it look effortless and keeps it simple. Tight 95 minutes but endlessly fun.
I adored the contrasting production design with the dimmed warmth of George and Kathryns home, and the clean cut coldness of their workplace. Fassbender and Blanchett are terrific as expected, Pierce Brosnan and Tom Burke are scene stealers. I was also a big fan of Rege Jean Page who holds his own against a cast of legends.
Just a bit of a treat really, features some brilliant close ups of very sexy people.

Transformers: 40th Anniversary Event 2024
I thought they were showing the 80s movie 💀😭, but this was the first 4 episodes of the original cartoon.
The first episode with the old and new cast reading the dialogue was very cool, but the rest was a slog to get through. My fault for not realising what this was though

One of Them Days 2025
Officially in love with SZA she needs to be in more movies, SEEING HER AND KENDRICK LIVE THIS YEAR!!!
Both final films I have made/am producing involve a ticking countdown so I appreciated the time crunch aspect of this a lot, its colour grade was nice aswell.
Didn't make me laugh as much as I hoped, every comedy needs more slapstick imo, but the leads are brilliant and I would watch 'Another one of them days' gladly.
