Unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations considering that Bong Joon Ho's previous film was Parasite, but it was still an enjoyable watch. Robert Pattinson and Mark Ruffalo absolutely kill it. Very cartoonish and overly edgy dialogue and performances, reminiscent of Okja, the only other Bong Joon Ho film I've seen that prominently featured non-Korean performances. The social commentary here is extremely obvious and on-the-nose but its appreciated. I liked the concept, although I wish it was explored more instead of focusing on whatever the villain decided to do on any given moment.

I wish I knew more about Bob Dylan before watching this so I could get more appreciation out of it. Its a solid film, with the clear standout being Timothee Chalamet's performance. Great performances by the supporting cast as well, and the music is good!

Really good thriller! Josh Hartnett puts on a killer performance, with good performances by the supporting cast too. The concept is very unique and does well to pull you in really quickly and keep you invested throughout. I loved the direction in this too, a lot of close-ups that raise the tension, with this film also capturing well the essence of a huge popstar concert. Overall a very suspenseful and enjoyable watch!

    Kinds of Kindness

    ★★★½

From the actually twisted mind of Yorgos Lanthimos, Kinds of Kindness presents three strange and unsettling, but simultaneously interesting and entertaining stories placing weird characters into even weirder situations(I just feel like Lanthimos had these ideas, couldn't make full movies out of each separate one, so he just said fuck it and combined them into one film). Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons shine in each role they play(with extra shoutouts to Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley), nailing the overall vibes of the film with their performances. It all comes together with some eerie music and some good directing.
