  Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F 2024

  Okay hear me out.
  What I hoped for:
  Keke Palmer as Alex Foley, a BHPD police officer always trying to outdo the actions and antics of her father Axel. Get it! She’s the Beverly Hills Cop now!
  What I got:
  Eddie was great. It was nostalgic seeing Billy, Taggart and Serge. The plot wasn’t anything new and a waste of Kevin Bacon.

  I’ll start with I really wanted to like this. I really did. A lot of people whose opinions more or less align with mine usually have been raving about it. 
  It didn’t work for me. 
  The theology discussion was inane and repetitive. There are so many plot holes chief among them is the illusion of Mr Reeds “control”. 
  Grant, Thatcher and East do give fine performances with what they are given. 
  It’s okay if you disagree with me and you probably do because I controlled you into it. 
  Super cool creaky door ASMR.
  Cool Swamp Thing joke.

  Is it dated? Yes. Is it cheesy? Yes. Is it awesome? YES! YES!YES!
  Dennis Christopher is Eric Binford, a nerdy movie lover pushed to the brink by the myriad bullies in his life. A very young Mickey Rourke in a very small role. Tim Thomerson is a useless role as a violent crime reformer. Dracula, Hopalong Cassidy and Cody Jarrett appear also.

  Just for a millisecond...
  Let down my guard and tell the people how I feel a second

  Lin-Manuel Miranda- I'd heard his name everywhere. Moana, Mary Poppins, In The Heights and, yes, Hamilton.
  Then Disney+ added Hamilton on their service. I am a rabid history reader and a casual musical fan and my curiosity was more than piqued.
