enid is so me about men. and everything else. also i know this derails the entire point of the movie, but the things i would give for a movie of enid and rebecca being friends in high school. anything to distract from the cruel experience of yourself depicted accurately on screen.

definitely a dark comedy. but i loved it. the freaks who have great sex trope will always be dear to my heart. i think both maggie gyllenhaal's and james spader's faces are both perfect for this in a weird way. both their mannerisms bring this eccentricity and warmth to the characters. also they're both sooooo hot
