  As odd as it seems being able to watch this on 35mm genuinely changed how I felt about it. it's still a visually spectacular film with a universe that seems to just be slap dashed into existence, but man what a fun film.

  Found family is such a profoundly interesting concept. This movie never really gets old. On this rewatch I didn't realize how many goddamn car crashes there are in this film though.

  You know something is about to go down when the keyboardist is ripped as hell.

  A wonderful showcase of a band having utterly joyful playing while celebrating how tight their performances are. I’m glad to have been able to see it in IMAX, it’s the closest I’ll ever get to seeing these guys in that pocket of time.

  I genuinely forgot how almost every frame is gag after gag and the setups to the jokes work as smoothly as they do.

  It's a remarkably competently made comedy film with a plot that's frankly just unhinged and rather dumb. But god there's something to be said about a love letter to quick witted, loud mouthed protagonists and fusing it with a love of Wuxia and kung fu films that just *works*.

  Not to mention that I'm still baffled how…
