Bad Axe 2022
I guess I'm a sucker for deeply personal family stories told in documentary format.
This film resonated with me so much, and reminded me of my favorite documentary (one of my favorite MOVIES period, and ANOTHER Golden Brick Nominee -and in fact winner - thank you @filmspotting) Minding the Gap.
Every year there's a film that ends up in my top 10, and there's almost zero doubt this one will be it for me.

Wow. What words to express about this movie. First off, thank you @filmspotting for highlighting this blindspot to me!
If I were to tell a friend I saw a movie that satirically portrayed a decaying democracy full of greed and capitalism through the lens of an exploited human down on their luck playing a head news anchor of a highly influenced and scripted news show produced more for entertainment than information. They'd wonder what zeitgeisty new film was just made and released this year, not 46 years ago.
A film that is so darkly comedic, and one that truly nails the ending. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Cha Cha Real Smooth 2022
A great sophomore effort by Cooper Raif. No one portrays the little things in life quite as genuinely. There's a feel to both this and Sh!those ive yet to experience in other films.
With Cha Cha Real Smooth, it seemed Cooper Raif really took his filmmaking up a notch. It screened to me as a more polished product, but on the other side of that, it felt slightly less uniqie and more a run of the mill charmer.
