I forgot this was a mockumentary multiple times while watching. Every single performance is perfectly naturalistic and done fantastically well. The plot as a whole isn’t mind blowing but there’s enough suspense, twists and turns to keep you invested. Great flick

Spring Breakers 2012
Beautiful, depraved and full of life. People didn’t get this movie when it came out and that’s their loss. Harmony Korine uses the backdrop of a summer blockbuster/sex romp to speak on privilege, gender, and cultural voyeurism. I enjoy a good genre deconstruction as much as the next guy, but that in and of itself has become its own sub genre with tropes and necessary beats. Spring Breakers is the best genre deconstruction I’ve ever seen, bar none.
