This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
As a native of Cape Breton Island, I feel safe in saying that this film has the best and most accurate portrayal of life there that I have seen on film.
Molly Parker portrays the "home-from-away" sibling facing conflctual family dynamics and a haunting past. One of her sisters is actually played by Stacy Smith from my hometown of North Sydney.
There is a bit of a cliche reveal toward the end but it is a movie worth watching. A young Ellen Page turning in a strong performance and a cameo by Ashley MacIsaac make it a good snapshot of artists in Nova Scotia.Translated from by
