to be fair: it's a 3.5 star movie, but an originally explored narrative will always be a winner in my eyes, so that i really don't care about the occasional sloppiness, or what other's would probably call 'a poorly executed narrative'.
roberto pattenzione delivered!!! his performance alone is worth 17 or a million stars (bare in mind though: i'm #teamedward since forever so i'm biased as fuuuck hehe)

i'm genuinely curious about how poor things (or actually a majority of lanthimos' filmography) would've been perceived, if it had been released under a lanthimos pseudonym
easily one of my new favorite movies. you can't fuck around my heart like that, pixar. lil sob-sob moments every here and there, the absolute best laughs i had in a while and the wholesome, inner-child-healing messages sprinkled throughout the whole watching experience were simply everything i ever needed from a movie. my bestie and me had a blast screening this in our living room.
of course i could and actually would reaally like to add all of my thoughts…
