This movie is the result of the work of the tough guys. Director is Barry Levinson, screenwriter is Nicholas Pileggi, cinematographer is Dante Spinotti, the main actor is Robert De Niro himself. Moreover, De Niro played two leading roles.
'The Alto Knights' is the story of a former friendship and a real feud between two Italian-American crime bosses Frank Costello and Vito Genovese.
The story is told very thoroughly, in the best traditions of crime stories. I really liked it, no matter what anyone said.
