  I wish POC stories didn’t  end up in the perspective of the oppressor. I also think it cheapens the experience of this ppl group when we give horrible people a conscience at the end of the film, let’s not confuse self preservation with guilt or remorse.

  I’ll always be obsessed with the camera movement in a Dardenne film, and even more in love with the way they put a microscope on the underclass/working class. I don’t want to praise inclusion, but I do want to praise consistency in including migrant characters and their work. It’s so essential to show the different faces and forms our created social classes have. In the Dardenne wold, reality doesn’t always have a happy ending, but life itself continues.
