  it’s comedic but serious, while also managing to be very entertaining and thought provoking throughout it’s run time- jarmusch cold style works so well with muller’s cinematography, but it has a melancholy feel to it as well due to these characters knowing they’re the last of a dying breed and vinny’s line “he's sending us out the old way, like real fucking gangsters” only showcases that to the fullest extent

  edit: i really like how ‘the pink opaque’ and the overall film is very similar to the ‘buffy the vampire slayer’ series in its themes and symbolism
