Visually beautiful, magic realism, hilarious and heart-wrenching. All my favourite things. Bird is the first Andrea Arnold film I’ve seen but after watching it, I know that has to change.

Shiva Baby 2020
every time somebody asks me what my favourite film is i say shiva baby and then have to find a way to describe it in an appealing way when all i really get across is “jewish anxiety cinema” - i have never had anyone watch it after my recommendation which is sad.
