Not a lot of films make me grin across my face because of the fact that a scene is so incredibly well composed.
The only grinding pieces were some costume details on florence pughs character and the weirdly different running speeds of the cgi armies.

ok rewatching this in 2023 and the jokes still hit? the cast is great. the outfits are cute. the plot is fun. what a timeless feel good movie 💗
hate to say it but i loved the set design. creepy dolls just get me going. and multiple close ups of them playing haunting tunes and being involved in the plot line. yes pls more of that. would want every single one in my home. watching me with their cold painted eyes
Solid gore heavy satanic movie.
If they added just a little bit more slapstick humor and funny dialogue it would be the perfect remake.
As a stand alone movie it may lack a bit of reasoning and worldbuilding. Thoroughly enjoyed the reimagining of the SFX and make-up tho. And it definitely leaves some iconic scenes in your head.
