  If this movie intrigued you towards the Tibetan Book of the Dead i’d definitely encourage you to not end your discovery of it in just another hippie fetishisation of psychedelics in eastern philosophy that portrays ‘spirituality’ in circumstances of drug abuse. The Psychedelic Experience by Timothy Leary is a great read to start.
