A Hammer Frankenstein movie with all the typical trappings, plus some genuinely off-kilter character moments brought upon by tightening budgets, I’m sure. Gotta be exploitative — make Frankenstein outright kill! Make him rape Veronica Carlson! Throw in a cocaine-based plot beat! All of that is settled within a really great premise — Frankenstein puts the brain of a man he knew into another body, and the newly-revived & “cured” man has to encounter his old life. It’s a marvelous idea with an execution that may be a bit too shock-oriented for its own good.
Dante idk wtf you have against this. Nolan showed up and delivered. A ten-out-of-ten cult. Really just marvelous.
Plus, monkey.
