Who knew an action film starring JCVD that had no JCVD Kicks in it was still entertaning! Simple story of redemption. The child actors were fun and had some funny dialogue and weren't annoying. Solid action scenes with a few impressive stunts! Ted Levine's performance as the villain was my favorite part of this film. This wouldn't go in my top 10 JCVD films of all time but it's entertaining enough to recommended it!

Amazing practical and visual effects! Amazing cinematography! Solid action set pieces! And that's about it. A frustrating viewing experience where tons of scenes were thrown together, a lot of them pointless making the film feel completely rushed and was mainly just made to just end the trilogy and that's it. All of the main characters were again wasted with such a horrible script. Despite a few entertaining moments this trilogy still unfortunately ended up being just Wasted Potential!

The 2 and a half star rating is only for the wonderful practical effects and puppet work! Unfortunately you don't really care about the plot or the characters. The lead actress is so wooden she acts like she's at a school play or she rather be somewhere else 😂. Dee Wallace returns for 5 minutes and is wasted in this. She's not even the same character from the first film. Despite some entertaining moments here and there this film fails…

A very solid old school Kung fu flick! A murder mystery tale with average fight scenes saved by its entertaining 3rd act! Which contains an unexpected escape the labyrinth with traps set piece. Leading to our Final Martial Arts showdown with improved fight sequences and some fun gore! Worth adding it to your old school Kung Fu marathon line up!
