    Visual stunning and some of the shots are simply fucking badass. Frustrated I never saw this in the cinema. But other than that, very mixed.

    The film just feels very “jumpy”. Mainly through the editing, where at times it’s brilliantly crafted together and others it just makes the film feel a bit all over the place, even at times feels rushed despite it being nearly 3 hours.     A superb film building up tension throughout. Welles truly unfolds the story while keeping a energetic pace to the film. By the time the last 20 minutes of the film come, you are fully immersed into the film and cannot help but watch how the final act unfolds. The music and lighting struck me the most with use of classic film noir lighting combined with this wonderful score really elevated the film along with Welles' spectacular performance. A magnificently written and made film.
