  Both Nyles and Sarah are equally interesting characters. Nyles, the archetypical sad man trapped in a world of mundane torture and Sarah, the reckless woman accidentally dragged into the aforementioned world. The two together create something of a reciprocal comfort to each other and the audience feel it.

  Eventually, the two characters give us a stark reminding of the harsh realities of love for ‘survival’ and asks the hard hitting question ‘can two people with only each other for company…

  This film was, I admit, something I just watched because of Cory. But I was surprised, it turned out to be an introspective look at the ambiguous morality of people & especially of those that suffer from tremendous circumstances/trauma. I didn’t hate any characters but I didn’t find myself completely loving any either and maybe that’s the point. Ultimately, these characters are the archetypal humans.
