The critique of the rich is reserved for the island-owning ultra-wealthy (notably excluding the nepo-baby director). And the critique of rapists is reserved for the cartoonish rape-for-sport villains (when a vast majority of victims are assaulted by people they know personally.) The deep statement it seems to make is “bad people are bad,” but adds little to a larger cultural discussion around these topics.
