  i put off watching this for the longest bc all i’ve ever heard about it is that folks end up sobbing, that it would be very upsetting to me and my homegirls.
  and well it’s cute but i didn’t cry and i was really hoping to.

  I like this film much more as I think back on it than I did as the credits began to roll.

  It's filmed beautifully, I'm always a sucker for continuous shots. Lucio Castro's exploration of intimacy is simple but timeless. From lustful encounters, to comfortable co-parenting, Fin de Siglo is a conversation between relinquishing oneself to an intimate connection, and the fear of losing your individuality as a result.

  this film has the range! women leads whose motivations don't center men, an indian wedding, a wholesome gay character (in 2002!) and a homophobic karen as comedic relief.

  but let's not forget the most iconic moment: the coach saying "Jess, I'm Irish" to prove he understands racism LMFAOOO I was rolling!
