I enjoyed it, the second half anyway. It took too long for anything interesting to actually happen, it felt like there was no momentum or any feeling of continuity. The second part was brilliant, I had an amazing time.

Beau Is Afraid 2023
I'm torn on this.
There's a scene where the main guy gets raped by a woman, the entire cinema filled up with laughter during that entire scene. Rather upsetting.
It feels like just a "man gets hurt hahahaha" film, not just physically but deeply mentally.
I really like the way the actor conveys the feeling of constant anxiety, I really commend him for that and I thought it was really well done. But the comedy felt it was done wrong, or maybe it was the audience laughing when they shouldn't? Nontheless it was distressing.
