Mysterious Skin 2004
Words cannot simply describe how much this film means to me, ive only ever seen it once.. And i plan on keeping it that way but i've never seen such an accurate portrayal of csa trauma showcased in a film, or any form of media for that matter. I saw myself in both of the main characters, which was heartbreaking but important. Not to mention the topic of sa against men being portrayed in a serious tone, when sa against men is often "comedic value" in distasteful media. What an important movie. Youre not alone 🩷
