  In a time where comic book movies are so over saturated you need to really bring it with any new film in some way in order to make it interested. Sadly, 2019’s Hellboy, despite having a very sexy cast and some good-ish gore can’t manage to be interesting for more than five minutes at a time.   It’s hard to synthesize what I enjoy about “Us” into a simple post, but I shall try. 

  
  I enjoyed it much more the second time because despite my best intentions, during my first watch I was really looking for the “meaning” behind everything Peele was doing. While that is not a wrong impulse, it really took away from my ability to just enjoy the movie as a movie. On my second watch, I was really able to just see “Us”…
