I'm sure this movie is exactly how the barbie world would be. The movie is a spectacular take on the suburbian life, depicted in the most silly yet smart way possible.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I know I'm super late to the Sion Sono world, but this film being my first was quite a ride. Graphic and almost discerningly aesthetic kind of a slasher movie.
Murata's treatment of a dead body and the peculiar ways of disposing of the bodies was the kind if attention to detail I have never come across. We are so used to happy endings and the smooth sailing 'alls well that ends well' that the ending for this one was quite a relief, and it left me feeling disappointed and angry, in a good way.
