Soundtrack perfect, impeccable blend of humor heart and gore. Unfortunately the female characters were collateral damage to Dev needing to be John Wick, but it’s ok. Not many films can touch on the corruption of celebrity, authentically celebrate the gender nonbinary, and have an epic bathroom fight scene that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

American Fiction 2023
I love movies that force you to stay comfortable even when there is no resolution. Especially when there is no resolution. I love Jeffrey Wright struggling with an olive, squinting at sirens because he’s no wearing his glasses. Sterling K. Brown has stunning lips and I didn’t even mind the mysterious patches on his knee. The Roe v Wade joke is something I want to memorize for parties (even though I don’t go to parties). Adam Brody is honestly so funny and Erika Alexander is honestly so beautiful. I had to look up what a hothouse flower was.

Wow, this movie was long. I had to watch it in three different parts over the course of my 48 hour amazon rental period. I need someone to validate that lawyers in France can get away with saying such snarky things in a courtroom (talking to you, queen Attorney General)
