  It was like every Disney Channel original movie I saw when I was a kid, except everyone was disgustingly immoral and vile.

  It was awesome.

  Seemingly nice people, like Vlad, are revealed to be adulterers and thieves. The kind dad is a pedophile, the dutiful mother doesn't see it, the grandparents are falling apart. The manic aunt (Joy) is really just alone and the successful woman (Helen) is still empty.

  Just today, I finally watched the Ultimate Edition of Watchmen. Synder's Ultimate Edition is better than the original in the same way Ridley Scott's Director Cuts are better than the theatrical cut (Kingdom of Heave, Alien, Blade Runner, Prometheus). Despite its length, it adds depth, story, and emotion that was often missing in the theatrical cut. It's complete, filling in all of the gaps, filling out the characters.
