Meta movies are stupid and almost always bring the movie down.

I wasn't very impressed with this one and is definitely one of my least favorite Scorsese films. The movie did a great job building up and garnering intrigue. Like holy shit, how can this night get any crazier? Well that's of all it is, just build up that leads to nothing. Personally, I found it a bit disappointing in a structural way. There were very memorable scenes, the paper mache scene towards the end was absolutely horrifying. I'll never forget those beady eyes...

A real "you're all little pawns in my big game" kinda guy. I would NOT play Nintendo with Capote because he would screen peek and cry when he loses.

Bong Joon-ho is one of greatest to ever direct. Parasite is deservedly recognized as a masterpiece and Memories of Murder is one of my favorite films ever. His movies Mother and The Host are also great movies I think of often. His English movies however are NOT GOOD. Mickey 17 is a mess that borrows too much from his other english shlop.
I wouldn't say this movie is a snoozefest or anything like that, it just has nothing going for it. No takeaway or memorable moments I feel as of right now. Mickey 17 was funny at times but really had nothing to show.
