This movie was a really good spin off to the original Wizard of Oz.
The friendship and personalities between Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande really set the mood and kept me engaged throughout the entire movie. Jonathan Bailey and Ethan Slater's personalities were really interesting, though a thought I had was these relationships that they scored, were only likely to last two weeks, which turned out to be true later on, poor Marissa Bode. Pretty good, although the movie is more attracted for kids, and I haven’t grown up playing the games, I didn’t really enjoy it in half of the scenes, but I have played super Mario cart before, and liked that add on into the movie. I really liked the implementation of the games music and sound effects, that really kept me engaged into the movie.
Overall great movie with my personal rating of 3.85 out of 5 stars. Here are my thoughts after finishing watching it for the first time.
The two main characters Kate and Tyler and the relationship between them, really set a positive mood throughout the entirety of the film. Most of the lore is easily distinguishable to the original 1996 Twister movie, that includes the many Twister references that popped up throughout the movie. It was a good bromance, though as expected with naughty R16 movies I was worried there would be a lot of cookies getting creamed. But thank goodness there was very little.
Computer technology was good, storyline was a little out of character. The companionship between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackson was pretty good, but distracted the audience from the main plot.
Though it appears Ryan Reynolds seemed to enjoy making a Disney reference every 10 minutes or so.
